About your interviewer
Hi there, my name is Hope (she/her) and I am a 2014 graduate of Middletown Area High School. I have a Master of Public Health from Drexel University and I am the founder and managing director of Sean’s Legacy, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to supporting and uplifting LGBTQIA+ youth. I founded the nonprofit 10 years after my friend, Sean Myers, died by suicide when he was only 13 years old. His memory has served as a reminder of the importance of fostering open, empathetic, and accepting communities for all children to thrive.
I am currently living in Boston, MA as I pursue a Master of Science in Media, Medicine, and Health at Harvard Medical School. I feel incredibly grateful for this opportunity and want to use it to elevate the voices of LGBTQIA+ young people who have experienced bullying and victimization in an effort to inspire empathy and understanding.
A part of my master’s degree is to create a capstone project that uses storytelling to communicate a public health problem. For more information about my capstone project, visit the home page.
